Germany’s Oldendorff Carriers is exploring fitting vertical rotor sails on a Newcastlemax bulk carrier of 207,000 dwt, using Anemoi patented vertical rotors that can lowered from into a horizontal position on deck so as not to interfere with cargo operations and air draft limitations. Full Article

Keppel O&M to exit offshore rig building

After completing the rigs it currently has under construction, Keppel O&M will exit the offshore rig building business. It will not undertake any new project requiring large upfront capex or without milestone payments.
