THE UK SHIPPING CONFERENCE IS COMING SOON
ship.energy is proud to be a Digital Media Partner for the ‘UK Shipping Conference: Pathways to 2030’, which is only two weeks away!
Hosted by the UK Chamber of Shipping and open to both members and non-members, this virtual day-long event will consist of Keynote Speeches and Breakout Sessions for delegates to discuss issues affecting their business.
Carrying the theme, ‘Creating Pathways to 2030’, the virtual conference will look at the key challenges facing the UK shipping industry. The conference aims to generate pathways for the next decade which will enable progress to be measured towards safer and cleaner shipping.
Following the Keynote Speeches in the morning, delegates will have the opportunity to attend Breakout Sessions looking at how the shipping industry can tackle issues such as Environment, Safety, People and Technology, focusing on sketching out next steps around these key issues. This will be followed by Keynote Speakers in the afternoon with Breakout Sessions split into Cruise, Ferry, Offshore, International Trade and Tugs.
Much focus of the IMO and the rest of the shipping community has been on 2050 and long-term issues and solutions. But the medium-term must not be forgotten and this conference will focus on what is realistically achievable by 2030 and the steps needed to get there.
Delegates will be able to virtually engage in panel debates, with outcomes from each session presented back to all delegates on the virtual main stage.
Take a guess…
We recently reported on a collective of companies banding together to develop a green energy hub – but where will this new partnership be based?
