No Nor-Shipping in 2021
There will be no Nor-Shipping event in Norway this June. Stressing the importance of in-person contacts, the organizers have taken the decision to postpone the exhibition and its associated activity program, pushing the event back to January 10-13, 2022. Great Lakes bulker successfully retrofitted for automatic dock-to-dock operation
Demonstrating that cutting edge technology can be retrofitted to older vessels, the Wärtsilä SmartMove solution for semi-autonomous sailing has been installed in American Steamship’s 1979-built self-unloader American Spirit. At 194 meters long, it is the largest ship ever capable of performing automated docking and dock-to-dock sailing operations. Full Article |
