New 28-inch dredge is being built by Hagler Systems at the Halimar Shipyard in Morgan City, La. It will focus on brown water division projects and is suited for both maintenance and capital dredging projects. Full Article

Fincantieri brings in a banker as GM

Reporting a loss of EUR 137 million (about $162 million) for the first half year, Italian shipbuilding giant Fincantieri has appointed a banker, Fabio Gallia, as its new General Manager. Until 2018, he was CEO and General Manager of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, a state controlled investment institution that is Fincantieri’s largest shareholder. Full Article
