NSR News Update

These are very unusual times for all of us. All focus is clearly on the good health and well-being of all of you and your loved ones. At the moment we live with a lot of uncertainty about the duration of the COVID crisis and follow the RIVM recommendations impacting our daily routines.

The (global) sailing community is certainly not immune and experiences events being postponed or cancelled. The NSR organizing team still continues to plan for the North Sea Regatta 2020, but obviously closely monitors the situation and developments to safeguard the health and well-being of our competitors, volunteers, and partners.

We need you as well
To enable us to plan and prepare for the event we encourage you to register your boat or sign up as volunteer. Should we have to take the decision to postpone the event we will take appropriate actions and refunds.

For now, together, we must all be patient and get through this crisis. It is still too early to tell, but if workable and safely possible, we will be racing together soon!

Let’s stay connected
Check our social media communities and virtually socialize with fellow NSR sailors, share your favorite sailing moments or discuss your sailing questions. Tag us and use the hashtags #MyNSR, #NSR2020 or #NorthSeaRegatta to get the conversation started. Have fun!

You can find us on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn as North Sea Regatta. For direct links to our profiles scroll down to the bottom of this page.

Proud Partners
Again in 2020 the Municipality den Haag has agreed to be one of the main sponsors of our event. Municipality Den Haag has been a long-term sponsor of the NRS and we wouldn’t be where we are now without their support.

We are also proud to announce that sailmaker, North Sails is on board as one of our sponsors this year! North Sails has been a sponsor for many years and the team is super excited to support the largest regatta in the Netherlands again. Their local expert team will be on the water and on site after racing for tips and advice regarding your sails and performance. The North Sails experts will be available, before during and after the regatta and will as usual offer overnight repair service.

For now, we must wait, but aim to be racing again soon!

With solid sailing regards,
Your NSR Crew
