(Tuesday 27th August, Puerto Portals) – A series of thunderstorms put plans to rest on the third racing day here at the Rolex TP52 World Championship Puerto Portals 2019. The fleet of 11 boats was held ashore while a first squall blew through with strong winds, torrential rain and lightning. With another one forecast and tracked on the real time weather maps, racing was cancelled for the day.

Seahouses RNLI Lifeboat Crews had just come ashore after giving a lifeboat display to the public on their annual fund raising Fete day on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August 2019, when they were paged again at 15:10hr by UK Coastguard. This time it was for a 14yr old girl on a paddle board, who was reported missing at Beadnell Bay. It was 3am this morning when most of the crew had got to bed after their previous call to a yacht in distress the previous evening.
(Monday 26th August, Puerto Portals) – Delivering a 1,1,2 from three of the four races sailed so far, Takashi Okura’s Sled team now lead the Rolex TP52 World Championship just one point up ahead of the 2017 World Champions Platoon of German owner-driver Harm Müller-Spreer.
