June 27, 2019 – Scarlino, Italy – Three of the total five events have been held by now to give the points to the 2019 Melges 24 European Sailing Series ranking: the first in Portoroz, Slovenia in April; the second and third in Italy on Garda Lake in Malcesine and Riva del Garda in May and June respectively.

Blue Economy Bulletin June 2019

Welcome to PEMSEA’s Blue Economy Bulletin. This month, we released our annual report for 2018, which was a milestone year representing 25 years of PEMSEA’s work on Integrated Coastal Management in the Seas of East Asia. Elsevier published a PEMSEA paper which describes the evolution of PEMSEA from a regional marine pollution project to an international organization working on integrated management solutions and partnerships and examines future key areas of intervention by PEMSEA. We also welcome a new project manager to lead the SDS-SEA in the future.

Team Oman Air lead the fleet at GC32 World Championships in Portugal

Team Oman Air has made a strong and determined start to their bid to win the GC32 World Championship which got underway in Portugal on Thursday. Racing against some of the world’s best sailors, the crew of the high-speed foiling catamaran took a race win and two other podium finishes to end the first day of the world championship title fight tied in first place.
