Our annual Lifeboat Fete was held on Bank Holiday Monday 27 August 2012 between 10am and 4pm. After a gloomy start, a surprising number of people attended. However, as the rain set in at about 12.30pm as forecast, some of the visitors began to melt away.
Nevertheless, it was a successful day, raising a considerable amount of money to help the RNLI save lives at sea. Our special thanks to all who came along to help, especially our young collectors with their buckets, the Motorcycle Chapter who provided rides on some awesome machines, the ladies who provided the catering, the Souvenir Shop Staff, Berwick Coastwatch, the visitors and casual helpers, and last but not least the public who supported us. The final total of monies raised will be published when known.
Thanks too to the Crew for giving up their time and considerable effort to make the day happen, and also to RAF Boulmer 202 Squadron, for the excellent helicopter display, which thrilled the public.
