Metal Shark acquires Horizon Shipbuilding assets
June 11, 2018 — Metal Shark has acquired the assets of Horizon Shipbuilding which has operated under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since October 24, 2017. The acquisition followed a motion approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Southern District of Alabama on June 5, 2018. The move “will greatly increase our shipbuilding capability and capacity,” says Metal Shark’s CEO Chris Allard.
