Ready for the Asian blue water classic…

27th March 2018: Twenty nine yachts, in six classes will face the starters orders, at 1300hrs on Wednesday 28th, for the 29th running of the 565nm Rolex China Sea Race. Light Easterly breeze in Victoria Harbour to start with, then increasing to the low teens on the exit from Hong Kong and backing to NE, plus further increases as they cross the China Sea, are deemed favourable for the big boats to make a fast crossing. The usual wind shadow in the lee of Luzon and on the final approach to Subic Bay, could make or break a record run and play into the smaller boats favour in the handicap stakes.
