AY Race Report 3 & Summary

Waka Tere clings on for victory
By AY MultiMedia
January 28th, Batam, Indonesia: Drifting conditions on the first race, followed by a complete turn around in breeze, once again favoured the light weather Platu 25 and J24’s. Zaheera Hashim’s J24 Balqis won the drift-a-thon first race and Bernice Foo Ling Li’s Platu 25 SMUVE the second race, to dramatically close in on overall leader Kurt Metzger’s Nelson 10 Waka Tere, that could only manage 7th and 6th places. As the drop race came into play and the wind stabilised and increased, the conditions swung in Waka Tere’s favour, as they romped home to win the final race and triumph in the overall stakes by a mere 2 points.
