2017 Melges 20 World League, European Division Events Schedule:
* Porto Venere, Italy – April 7-9
* Scarlino, Italy – May 12-14
* Zadar, Croatia – June 9-11
* European Championship / Sibenik, Croatia – July 12-15

* Russian Championship / Riva del Garda, Italy – September 1-3
2017 Melges 20 World League
Freides’ Pacific Yankee Takes The Early Melges 20 World League Lead
With two down and many more to go, the Melges 20 World League is officially well on its way to a very successful inaugural year of racing! The Melges World League includes 16 events shared between North American, Europe and Japan.
Although the points spread at the top of the standings is very tight, Freides has the early lead over Igor Rytov’s Russian Bogatyrs in second, Liam Kilroy on Wildman in third, followed by Rob Wilber on Cinghiale and Jim Wilson on Oleander in fourth and fifth respectively. So far, a total of twenty-five teams have earned valuable Melges 20 World League points. View 2017 Melges 20 World League Results (After Two Events).
With European Event No. 1 in Porto Venere, Italy taking place on April 7-9, followed by more highly competitive regattas all across Europe and Asia over the coming Spring/Summer months, the results are sure to change dramatically as the season progresses.

Freides and Brown Take Home Top 2016/17 Miami Winter Series Champion Honors
And just like that, another fun year of Melges 20 racing on Biscayne Bay has come to yet a dramatic end. Congratulations to Drew Freides along with Morgan Reeser, Charlie Smythe and Federico Michetti as they won the overall Miami Winter Series trophy and title for the very first time.
A huge round of congrats goes out to Corinthian Miami Winter Series Champion John Brown on Blind Squirrel with crewmates George Demand and Kyle Rogachenko. Hats off to the Blind Squirrel team as this is their second consecutive Corinthian Miami Winter Series win!

2016/17 Dynamiq Yachts Monaco Winter Series Wraps Up With Ezhkov Crowned Champ
Since last October, the 2016/17 Dynamiq Yachts Melges 20 Monaco Winter Series has been rolling at high speed. On March 3-5, the final act of the five-part series came to a close – the Montemaggio Cup!
In the end, Russia’s Alexandr Ezhkov’s Pirogovo Sailing won the overall Series title. Alexander Novoselov’s Victor was second, followed by Valentin Zavadnikov/Matteo Tenti on Synergy in third. Vadim Yahinson’s Leviathan and Alexander Mikhalik’s Alex Team rounded on the top five in fourth and fifth. View 2016/17 Dynamiq Yachts Monaco Winter Series Results (After Five Events)
Congratulations to all the event winners which include Act 1: Alexandr Ezhkov (Pirogovo Sailing), Act 2: Valentin Zavadnikov (Synergy), Act 3: Krzysztof Krempec, (Tiny Mag), Act 4: Youry Morozov, (Pirogovo Sailing), and Act 5: Manfredi Vianini Tolomei, (Maolca).

Mascalzone Latino Conquers 2017 Melges 20 Primo Cup
The 2017 Melges 20 Primo Cup kicked off the sanctioned racing season in early February. Three days of great racing and spectacular off-the-water parties and dinners were hosted by Yacht Club de Monaco.
Congratulations to Achille Onorato’s Mascalzone Latino who took home the prestigious YCM trophy. Matteo Marenghi Vaselli’s Raya and Manfredi Vianini Tolomei’s Maolca completed the podium. View the 2017 Primo Cup Full Results.
