The eighth Valencia Boat Show drew to a close on November 6th and exceeded the turnover of previous editions. This year, the Valencia Boat show was revamped, taking place in the autumn and only selling new boats. The boat show includes the enormous benefit of being able to test out the boats that are for sale on the sea, due to the boat show taking place next to the city’s marina.

November 27th, 2016 – Miami, FL, U.S. – Written by Silvia Gallegati and Piret Salmistu – 74 boats, 35 of which belonging to the Corinthian division, will be rounding the marks in front of Miami Beach and Biscayne Bay during the 2016 Melges 24 World Championship, which got started with registration and measurement in Island Gardens Marina and Miami Yacht Club yesterday, but the real excitement starts with racing on Tuesday, November 29th.

November 24th, 2016 – Miami, FL, U.S. – Melges 24 driven enthusiasm and passion to this boat will bring a great fleet of Melges 24 sailors to sail in one of the most desired sailing venues in US – Miami – for the title of the 2016 Melges 24 World Championship. But not only for this particular title. Sailing on that boat, having fun both on the ocean waves and on the dock enjoying a great company of the other sailors are the reasons to be there. Laura Grondin – the owner and skipper of the Melges 24 called Dark Energy USA-805 will be there for all these reasons, but title. She is representing the core of the Melges 24 class – Corinthian fleet.

Zumwalt sidelined in Panama by engineering casualty
November 23, 2016 — The first in class stealth destroyer USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000) is reportedly pier side at a former U.S. Navy facility in Panama. The U.S. Naval Institute reports that the ship suffered an engineering casualty while transiting the Panama Canal on route to her new homeport in San Diego.
