Ships trading in designated emission control areas will have to use on board fuel oil with a sulphur content of no more than 0.10% from 1 January 2015, against the limit of 1.00% in effect up until 31 December 2014.

EXMAR orders second FLNG from Wison Offshore

December 22, 2014—Under a recently announced deal, China’s Wison Offshore & Marine will build a second Floating LNG Liquefaction Unit (FLNG) for EXMAR NV at its Nantong shipyard. The contract calls for Wison to provide the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation and commissioning of the FLNG. The non-self-propelled barge will have a liquefaction capacity of 600,000 tons per annum and 20,000 m³ of LNG storage.

EXMAR Orders Second Floating LNG Liquefaction Unit

EXMAR NV (“EXMAR”) (Euronext: EXM) is pleased to announce today
an order for a second Floating LNG Liquefaction Unit (“FLNG”) at Wison Offshore & Marine (“Wison”). Under the agreement Wison will be responsible
for the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, transportation,installationand commissioning (EPCIC) of the FLNG, which will be a self-contained barge
with a liquefaction capacity of 0.6 MTPA (Million Tons Per Annum) and 20,000 m³ of LNG storage. The FLNG will be constructed at Wison’s shipyard in Nantong, China, where also
the construction of the world’s first FLNG for EXMAR is nearing completion.

Final agreement signed for the building of two new suezmax tankers, increasing dividend and earnings capacity based on a 24 vessel suezmax fleet.

On December 9, 2014, Nordic American Tankers Ltd. announced that preliminary contracts had been entered into with a South Korean shipyard, for the construction of two suezmax tankers to be delivered in the third quarter 2016 and first quarter 2017. The final documents were signed December 19, 2014. The contracts are now firm, bringing the NAT fleet to 24 suezmax crude oil tankers, being able to transport one million barrels of oil each.

The purchase price of the two newbuilding vessels is in the region of $65 million each, which is expected to be financed by the internal resources of NAT. The stage payments to the yard by NAT during construction will be guaranteed by a first class bank.
