Finn ‘World Champion’ Lynch


Finn Lynch is the new U19 Laser Standard World Championship having won the championship in France last Saturday. His fellow teammate Fionn Lyden finished an impressive 11th overall in the U21 category while Aisling Keller narrowly missed out on a medal finishing 4th in the U19 Laser Radial fleet. Read more…

Meanwhile in Canada John Twomey, Ian Costello and Austin O’Carroll sadly fell two places short of qualifying the nation for the 2016 Paralympics at the IFDS Worlds. They’ll have another shot at qualification in 2015.


ISA All Ireland Sailing Championship


Defending Champion Ben Duncan will face some stiff competition next week as he fights to retain his ISA All Ireland title. 16 national class champions will battle it out for the Helmsman’s Trophy on the 6th and 7th of September in Howth Yacht Club.

Sail for Jack

Join the Royal St George Yacht Club tomorrow and ‘Sail for Jack’ at a special charity pursuit race. The event is being hosted to raise much needed funds for Jack Kavanagh, a sailor and windsurfer who was paralysed when he dove into a wave and broke his neck in a freak accident.
