The ILB was then tasked to the shore to confirm the reports and ascertain if any medical assistance was required. On arrival it was discovered the casualty was safe and well but had ditched his kite out to sea. The ILB was requested to try and find the kite in case any further false alarms were received .The kite was located approximately 0.75 miles out to sea and returned to its owner. That done, the lifeboat returned to station at 10.28hr that day.
