The free application allows users to request and gather destination advice from other members via its real time, cost-free, messaging and networking platform. Users can find and chat with like-minded travellers and locals from across the globe, share photos, find hotspots nearby and update their travel status.

“Our new app makes meeting people in the places you’re travelling to fun and hassle-free”, said Jimmy Yeoh, CEO of iloho. “In a couple of taps it allows you to discover other travellers bound to the same destination as you, as well as “local” users based nearby. We believe travel is as much about the people you meet as the places you visit, and our app facilitates that in a unique, simple and exciting way.”

The iloho travel app uses iOS devices’ GPS technology to show other connections travelling to the same destinations, and to find “locals” who are close at hand to offer expert advice. The app also offers users access to iloho’s real-time messaging platform to chat to other travellers, and the ability to post status updates and share photos.

“The networking functions our app provides – chat, photo and status sharing – give our users instant access to the collective wisdom and experience of travellers from sixty-one countries worldwide. Our mission is to connect people through travel and the new iloho travel app brings us one step closer to achieving that goal,” continued Jimmy Yeoh.

The app is available to download free on Apple’s App Store for all devices using iOS 6.0 or later.

The new iloho travel app launches alongside a redesigned website and a brand new flight booking engine. The new booking engine, powered by Mystifly, offers lowest airfares on over 900 airlines for travel originating from over 51 countries.
