The RNLI Lifeboat Shop is situated at Anchor Head on the north Weston shore. Each year it offers souvenirs, toys, keepsakes, RNLI badged goods and much more during the summer months. Facing out into the Bristol Channel it is visited by many thousands of holiday makers and local tourists who value the work of the RNLI. One of its best views is across to Birnbeck Island where one can see the red doors and old slipway of the Lifeboat Station itself.

The building was first developed as an actual lifeboat station at a time many years ago when the RNLI was not sure if it could continue launching from Birnbeck Island. When it became apparent that Birnbeck could still be used it was turned into a shop and heritage centre. Indeed as well as all the goods for sale there is a display there of the history of Weston-super-Mare RNLI lifeboats since 1882.

The people behind the counter in the shop are all fund raising volunteers who give up their time to help the RNLI and the volunteer crews. This year there has been a major makeover of the inside of the shop, mainly done by crew members of the lifeboats.

The shop is open from 10 a.m.in the morning until four p.m. in the afternoon, weather permitting.
